J. Murphy & Sons invites expressions of interest from experienced civil engineering subcontractors for inclusion on a framework of regional lots across England, supporting major infrastructure programmes. The framework will provide call off opportunities aligned to regional delivery teams and project locations. Project Portfolio Includes: Network Rail CP7 TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) Peel Ports Other rail and infrastructure projects across England Scope of Services: The framework will cover the provision of ecology and environmental services, including: Ecological Surveys & Assessments Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA) Habitat surveys and classification (e.g. UKHab) Protected species surveys (e.g. bats, great crested newts, badgers, reptiles, birds) Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments and reporting Licensed & Specialist Ecology Works Delivery of works requiring protected species licences Services undertaken by appropriately licensed ecologists in accordance with CIEEM guidance Preparation and submission of licence applications (e.g. Natural England mitigation licences) Supervision of works under licence conditions, including method statements and compliance reporting Vegetation Clearance & Ecological Support Ecological supervision of vegetation clearance and site works (e.g. Ecological Clerk of Works - ECoW) Toolbox talks and site briefings to ensure compliance with environmental requirements Sensitive clearance works in accordance with ecological constraints Monitoring & Mitigation Implementation of ecological mitigation and compensation measures Species and habitat monitoring programmes Installation and monitoring of ecological features (e.g. bat boxes, fencing, habitat creation) Post construction monitoring and reporting Environmental Compliance & Advice Advice to ensure compliance with wildlife legislation and planning conditions Support for environmental permitting and stakeholder engagement Input into construction planning to manage ecological risks Data Management & Reporting Collection, analysis and interpretation of ecological data Preparation of technical reports, licence documentation and compliance records Delivery of outputs aligned to planning authority and regulatory requirements How to Apply: Suppliers must express interest through CompeteFor to receive further tender information, including lot structure and next steps.
